Why donate to Weston King
For the many residents in the Weston King-Mount Dennis neighbourhood who are living on or below the poverty line, your support means that they do not have to choose eating over paying their rent. Our Drop In provides much needed community supports for people during a time when they are re-building their lives and looking toward a brighter future.
There are two methods for donations; online and in person.
To make a secure on-line donation to Weston King Neighbourhood Centre you may fill out the forms located to the right with your preferred method of donation and amount.
What We Need
Cash donations that are unassigned are used for such things repairs to the kitchen equipment, computers, and for administrative costs such as auditors, insurance and caretaking.
Donated cash is also put towards staff and volunteer training e.g. first aid, CPR/AED and mental health first aid, food handling, computer skills, basic financial management, conflict resolution/crisis prevention, Ontario Accessible Customer Service, fundraising, board governance, etc.
Funds are also needed in order to maintain our website, print newsletters and posters, and pay for advertising.
You can choose to donate to us through CanadaHelps.

We strongly invite you to visit the centre and meet the people using the services – the people whom you may be considering supporting. You’ll find they are mostly pleasant, caring people who have been faced with hard time and who have fallen through the cracks. Having a place like WKNC where they feel welcomed gives them a place where they can relax from the stress of coping with poverty and can find non-judgemental friendships and encouragement. The best times to visit are Monday and Friday from 10-12:30, or 5:30- 6:30 on a Tuesday evening.
Another way to donate is to come to the centre in person and give your donation/cheque to one of our staff. Please go to the contact us tab to find our location.
