The Centre policies and directions are set by a Board of Directors elected annually by the membership.

The Directors manage the affairs of the Corporation between scheduled membership meetings. They are responsible for ensuring the Centre's activities meet the objectives for which WKNC was incorporated and are accountable to those who fund the activities. They customarily meet monthly and hold offices such as president, secretary and treasurer. They discuss matters involving their responsibility for hiring and managing the people who directly run the WKNC program, and issues of long-term policy development and fund raising. They also speak to other groups about the work and advocate with others to address the needs of this under-serviced part of the City of Toronto.
