We have two drop-in locations, our Weston and Mount Dennis centres. During the listed hours there will always be someone able to answer the door or phone. If a staff member is not visible please ring the doorbell or call the number above.

For urgent help outside of operating hours, there are resources for you below.

In case of emergencies please call 911.

We offer discrete access to hygienic supplies, safe-use kits and emergency Naloxone.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Current COVID-19 Information:
  • Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, for the safety of all participants, volunteers and staff, there have been several changes to regular service.

  • Our programming will continue to adapt based on best practices provided by Ontario Health. 

  • All meals will still be served to the Community. Most will have an option for take-out or dine-in.

    • However, some meals (Tuesday breakfasts and dinners at WKNC, and weekend MDNC meals) will be take-out only.

    • Those choosing to dine-in will be required to wear a mask when not seated and to follow the social distancing guidelines.

  • Harm Reduction services are still available but in an adjusted format.

    • To-go harm reduction kits have been prepared for those who need them and will be provided in discrete bags.

  • Other services are operating in an adjusted format as well.

  • For any questions please call our locations for the most up-to-date information.

Prepared Meals

Prepared Meals

Both of our locations offer free meal services. No registration is required for these meals and there is no catchment area for service users – everyone is welcome! We are open on holidays!

WKNC Provides Meals:

  • Every Monday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

  • Every Tuesday we offer a take-out only breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and a take-out only community dinner from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.

  • Every Wednesday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

  • Every Thursday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

  • Every Friday we serve a brunch from 11:00 am-12:00 pm

  • Every Saturday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

MDNC Provides Meals:

  • Every Saturday we offer dinner at 4:30 pm.

  • Every Sunday we offer brunch at 10:30 am. 

  • If you are living in the Mount Dennis area and need food or know someone who does, please contact North York Harvest Food Bank at (416) 635-7771 ext. 0.

Free Groceries

Free Groceries

Our WKNC location provides free nutritious groceries on a weekly basis. They include all of the needed food groups and are curated to include only the best quality items. 

WKNC Provides Groceries:

  • Every Tuesday from 12:00pm-1:00pm.

If you are unable to reach our Weston-King location and need food bank assistance please contact North York Harvest Food Bank at (416) 635-7771 ext. 0.

Housing Help

Housing Help

Both of our locations have certified housing workers on site. Some of the services offered include assistance with finding housing in the GTA, understanding tenant rights, and applying for subsidized housing. All services are by appointment.

Harm Reduction

We are committed to providing an accepting and judgment-free zone. Both of our locations offer access to hygienic supplies, safe-use kits, condoms, and can connect you with a harm reduction counsellor. We also have Naloxone overdose kits on location in case of emergencies. Supplies are available anytime the centre is open. If there is no one at the door, please ring the doorbell. Any harm reduction supplies will be provided in a discrete bag.

WKNC Hours of Operation:

  • Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • Also Tuesday from 7:00 pm - 7:00 pm

MDNC Hours of Operation:

  • Wednesday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • Saturday from 1:30 pm - 6:30 pm

  • Sunday from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Additional Services

Laundry & Shower Services

Our WKNC location offers free laundry and shower services to participants. You would have access to our  laundry room or to one of our shower rooms. Showers are only able to be used by one person at a time and are separated by floor to ceiling drywall for privacy.  Please call us at our number, (416) 241-9898, or stop by the centre, to make an appointment.

  • Appointment slots are available Wednesday through Friday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm​

Phone Services

 

The ability to make important phone calls is available at both WKNC and MDNC during hours of operation. If you are looking to use this service please approach a staff member on site and provide the reason for your call.

Rental Kitchen

 

Our MDNC location has an updated, fully-functional industrial kitchen for rent. Our kitchen is available to rent by commercial businesses and smaller community entrepreneurs, with precedence given to local small businesses. MDNC has supported several small and large food enterprises in reaching the next level of success with their food business.

  • We offer discounted rates to local small food start-ups.

  • We rent on an hourly basis for a minimum of 4 hours.

  • Kitchen assistance or janitorial help is available at a small additional cost.

  • The kitchen and programming space are also available for rent for personal and corporate events.

Printing and Faxing Services

 

The ability to print or fax important documents is available at both WKNC and MDNC during hours of operation. If you are looking to use this service please approach a staff member on-site and let us know why you need the service.

Both of ​our locations works with other community service agencies to provide a wide array of services. If there is a service needed that we don’t offer, we will happily connect you with the appropriate organization that can meet your needs.
