Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, for the safety of all participants, volunteers and staff, there have been several changes to regular service.

Our programming will continue to adapt based on best practices provided by Ontario Health.

All meals will still be served to the Community. They will have an option for take-out or dine-in. Take-out is available if you bring your own container.

Those choosing to dine-in are encouraged to wear a mask when not seated and to follow the social distancing guidelines.

Weston King Neighbourhood Centre (WKNC)
Serving the Weston Community since 2001
Our primary site, Weston King Neighbourhood Centre (WKNC) has been providing essential frontline services for nearly 20 years. Since our founding, we have been able to expand our services which now include meal services, housing services, harm reduction services, laundry and shower services, and warm referrals to many other resources in the Weston and Toronto area.
Located in the heart of the Weston community at Weston Road and King Street, WKNC is open to all and operates 6 days a week to best serve our participants.
What services does WKNC offer?

Daily free meal services: are offered at WKNC. No registration is required for these meals and there is no catchment area for service users – everyone is welcome!

Every Monday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

Every Tuesday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and dinner from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Every Wednesday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

Every Thursday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm.

Every Friday we serve a brunch from 11:00 am-12:00 pm

Every Saturday we offer breakfast from 10:00 am-11:00 am and lunch from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm

Grocery services: Free nutritious groceries are given out to those who attend, no registration is required.

Every Tuesday from 12:00pm-1:00pm.

Systems Navigation and Advocacy: We have an experienced systems navigator and advocacy worker on site. Some of the services offered include assistance with finding housing in the GTA, understanding tenant rights, applying for subsidized housing, system navigation, and any advocacy assistance you may need. Services by appointment and drop-in basis Tuesday through Saturday. Laundry and shower services: WKNC offers free laundry and shower services to participants. Please call us at our number, (416) 241-9898, to make an appointment. Slots are available Wednesday through Friday and go from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Phone and Communication services: The ability to make important phone calls, copy or print forms, as well as fax documents are available at WKNC.

Harm Reduction Services: WKNC is committed to providing an accepting and judgement-free zone. We offer access to hygienic supplies, safe-use kits, condoms, and on-site harm reduction counselling on Tuesdays. We also have Naloxone overdose kits at the centre in case of emergencies. Supplies are available anytime the centre is open. If there is no one at the door, please ring the doorbell. Any harm reduction supplies will be provided in a discrete bag.

Referrals: WKNC works with other community service agencies to provide a wide array of services. If there is a service needed that we don’t offer, we will happily connect you with the appropriate organization that can meet your needs.

Where are we?
We are located at the corner of Weston Road and King Street in Weston. We share a building with the Central United Church. We are just south of the 401 and north of Lawrence Avenue.
By TTC, the 89 Weston Rd bus stops right in front of our site. Additionally, the 52 Lawrence bus stops at Weston road, and we are just a couple of short blocks north of that stop.

Mount Dennis Neighbourhood Centre (MDNC)

Our Mount Dennis Neighbourhood Centre (MDNC) site provides essential frontline services and innovative food security projects in the Mount Dennis Community.
To respond to the issue of food insecurity in the Mount Dennis area, MDNC has operated as an incubator for novel food-justice projects, including an open-access community garden, participant-led community meal programming, youth programming, and a food start-up subsidized rental kitchen for community residents.
What services does MDNC offer?

Free weekend meal services: are offered at MDNC. No registration is required for these meals and there is no catchment area for service users – everyone is welcome! We serve meals every weekend – including holidays!

Rental Kitchen: MDNC has an updated, fully-functional industrial kitchen for rent. Please see below for full details.

Housing support services: Our experienced housing worker is on-site at MDNC every Saturday. Assistance with finding housing in the GTA, understanding tenant rights, applying for subsidized housing are some of the services offered through MDNC.

Computer and phone services: Phone calls and access to the internet are available at MDNC.

Harm Reduction Services: MDNC is committed to providing an accepting and judgement-free zone. We offer harm reduction services, including access to hygienic supplies, safe-use kits, condoms, and appointments with a harm reduction counsellor. MDNC Kitchen-Rental program:
Our kitchen is available for rental by commercial businesses and smaller community entrepreneurs, with precedence given to local small businesses. MDNC has supported several small and large food enterprises in reaching the next level of success with their food business.

We offer discounted rates to local small food start-ups.

We rent on an hourly basis for a minimum of 4 hours.

Kitchen assistance or janitorial help is available at a small additional cost.

The kitchen and programming space are also available for rent for personal and corporate events.
